Post by: bodagocreek2 on November 10, 2018, 03:50:15 PM
Just wondering if a CS400 Echo like new is worth $200. 18 inch bar and case

I would say yes. I just bought one new for $300. I got a bit of a deal cause it came with the toughbox case which is the good one, but I don't think they typically come with cases at all. I assume you're also not paying sales tax, so that makes it a bit better. Otherwise, you're 10% better than 20% off sale day.

As lxskllr indicated Echo-USA site shows a new one MSRP as 299.99.  Dealer day price would be about $60 off (20%).  So to save $30 over the dealer day price you lose the 5 year home owner warranty.  With their reliability you would probably would not need.  This is assuming the saw is like new and no hidden stuff wrong with it.

I recently bought a CS 620p on a dealer day and then a week or 2 later one came up on CL close by for $70 less than I paid for mine.  Ad stated used once.  ::)
