Just had a bottle of my homemade black/blueberry wine in the hot tub.

Lee,

Boy does that look good! We had the BE peas and cole slaw with our cabbage but I will say your cabbage sure looks tasty. Is that fried cabbage? We fry cabbage with a couple strips of bacon to grease the skillet, cross cut a pack of beef hot dogs and fry them in the bacon grease then add the cabbage and fry till nearly tender and serve with crispy cornbread. digin1

Yes, it is indeed fried cabbage with sausage instead of bacon. There is enough fat in the sausage that I just use about a tablespoon of olive oil to get the onions started, add and brown the sausage then add cabbage, season to taste. I used salt, pepper, and Mrs. Dash. Fry the cabbage enough to wilt it down a little but still leave a bit of tooth to it. No cornbread.
