Sorting out a Homelite 540 88cc "last Gasp" Pro Saw From Homlite

Interesting saw actually. NOT as bad as I thought in the prior video. Has some good features and this one had a "Pro" life therefor a few things had simply worn out. A little more "Plastic" than I like for one of these class saws.

Enjoyed watching your video.   Looks like a pretty strong chainsaw.
2019 LT15G25WIDE, 2013 LT35HDG25, Stihl MS880 with 59" bar with Alaskan sawmill attachment.  John Deere 5045 tractor with forks, bucket and grapple.  Many chainsaws.

I'm sure Bob is getting annoyed by now.... three, count them three video's? Three on a almost tossed into the trash can Homelite 540? Truth is it's a nice saw to run. One thing that stands out is as compared to other "period" 80 plus, near 90cc saws its really light weight AND easy to start. Combined with "easy" power enough to pull the 28inch bar has earned it's place in the work rotation as the "project"/vintage saw for now :)

Not getting annoyed in the slightest. It's great having a place to unload big heavy saws I don't like.  ffsmiley
