That roller works ok. I have another i could put on the front side. But I think one mounted on the snatch block itself would be better

How about taking a section of 4" plastic pipe (CPVC so the sun does not degrade it or poly pipe) split in half to act as a trough.  Or even pass it through the full pipe.
