Is Eastern Tamarac good for building
« on: January 11, 2021, 12:27:26 PM »
My nephew is cutting a lot of Eastern tamarac (larch) and he wants to give me a few loads .Will it work for building a chicken house for my grandson .I have only ever used hemlock or pine for buildings.Well I did build a honey house out of poplar with shake but I do not want to make that mistake again .
Thank you

Used a fair bit of it in the past, posts, beams, rough 2x and barn flooring.  Just be sure to put it up green, that or invest in drill bits.
