Ive checked this forum and googled online but no luck. The hub seal ive read about here seal against a machined flat on the stub axle. This area is often worn. Mine doesnt seal against the stub axle. It seals against a metal cone pressed on the axle.  Anyone familar with this?

Thank you

I cleaned up the seal and found CAT 435002 cast into the metal ring of the seal. Could this be original?

No, seems I have a CAT Duo seal. Not sure if this is OEM

bushmechanic

That is original for a Eaton WR series rear end, a duo cone seal. Looks like it backwards in the pic.

Ive looked all over the axle but cant see any part or serial number. Logo on the planetary cover plate is Rockwell, so i assumed the axle is rockwell. This is the front axle on the TJ

Well, I've figured out about these axles if anyone is interested.
They are Rockwell PR75 axles. They came OEM with Duo Cone Seals. Probably sourced from Cat.  These parts are still available through aftermarket suppliers
