I saw Raider Bill's video in another post https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,56669.0.html and it brought back a flood of memories...

Years ago this little guy was run over by a tractor while bush hogging, badly breaking one of his legs. I couldn't stand the thought of leaving him so I took him home and called my vet. He assured me that he would help, so I took him in. He became instant friends with my dogs and they played nonstop. He would eat clover buds like candy, drank milk from a bowl (he never caught on to a bottle), and loved carrots.
I worked nights at the time, he spent his days outside playing and sleeping, and his nights in the house. I will never forget how clean and odorless the little guy was.

He developed an infection in the broken leg and died shortly after the cast was removed. In all I had him for about 5 weeks.
Every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.~Ernest Hemingway

Your fawn is beautiful......all babies are beautiful aren't they!
Women are Angels.
And when someone breaks our wings....
We simply continue to fly ........
on a broomstick.....
We are flexible like that.
