I have only seen one, a friend has it. Pulls alot of wood with it every year. I just would be worried about getting parts.

The only Massey skidder I ever knew of was  220 (I think).  My family had one, that was an ok machine, but parts, as others said were non existant.  Also it was definitely not the size of a deere 540, it was smaller than a 440 deere, really a tiny machine.  Good for small jobs, not so much for getting a lot of fiber moved.

i have a 220 massey ferguson. i bought it for 5 grand back in 2000. had the center re-pinned, and thats it. i have pulled a boat load of wood with it. i blew out a steer cylinder a few years ago, bought one off a guy that has 2 parts machines, replaced the thermostat once. i think it is a more stable machine than a 440, and others had said they will out pull a 540.
massey ferguson made a 220, and a 320. the 220 weighs 15,000, with 23.1's is 104" wide, articulates 41 degrees, the chassis oscillates, not the front end, it oscillates 21 degrees each way. i have never pulled a tire off the ground unless the load is completely hung up. i happen to have the owners manual here on my desk, that is where i get the numbers. it has a 236 inch naturally aspirated perkins 4 cylinder, a 2 speed shuttle transmission for high low forward and reverse, and a four speed powershift. i love mine, i just wish there were more of them. i know where two are for parts, one a 220 the other a 320. the motor in mine is getting really tired. i think it is such a good machine that i have thought about rebuilding the entire thing. but these days you can buy a funcional decent skidder for about 4 or 5 grand. i am afraid if i put money into the motor and rebuild it, that then i will blow up the transmission, that is expensive.
i dont know where i found it, but i think they only made about 500 of them. if that one for 12 grand all redone was near me, i would buy it.
