Local loggers about an hours drive from here are downsizing. They kept enough equipment for the two sons to stay in business, and sold everything else. Not sure what they kept, but what they sold was pretty much worn out. Everything started and moved, but all need some attention. Prices reflected it too. The Prentice 384 knuckle boom with an attached delimber was the best of the lot, but only brought $18,500. The single arch JD 648 G skidder looked rough, but brought $23,000 which I thought was a fair price. A JD 843G feller buncher only brought $6,500. Sheet metal and cab were bet up pretty bad, but everything seemed to work as it was supposed to.
Mentally beat myself up all the way home for not buying the knuckle boom.  >:(

Pretty much that way here, they can hardly give it away at the moment.
old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm

Sit back and go thru the for sale pages on FB, yeah the real new stuff is bringing ok money, anything with hours or age isnt bringing much. Wet yrs, faster mechanical, seeing skidders and loaders go cheap.
