Title: Beam Drill Identification?
Post by: firefighterdad on August 17, 2012, 01:22:08 PM
Hello all.  I'm new to this forum and enjoying the wealth of knowledge so far.  I purchased two beam drills below last week with the intention of using them on an addition next summer.  Does anyone recognize them?  There are no markings or dates.  I just cleaned, painted and lubricated.  The rigid one has removable "bearing caps"  for the rotating parts but the adjustable one does not.  They seem to be well used but in great shape.

Welcome to the forum.

The top one is a James Swan and Company boring machine from CT.

And the bottom one is a Snell. Don't know where they were made.

Thank you Jim.  I noticed you have bits for sale, how would I go about purchasing a couple?
