We lost 4 seedling white pines today to moles. We have planted 150 seedlings and there seem to be mole tracks everywhere! Our dog has cought a couple of them but we have a bumper crop of them this year.

Without doing something that might hurt the dog, do you have any suggestions for getting rid of them?

The first thing you need to do is eliminate the reason the moles are there in the first place. I have had great sucess with a product called Milky Spore. It might be a little expensive for some people but this product will last for ten years and is well worth it in my opinion.
Just one website I found to be the cheapest.

I noticed on their website that the mole repelant contains 100% castor oil. Seems simple enough.

One friend of mine suggested jucy fruit gum, says they like to eat it and it pluggs up their systems.

It's a secret weapon.  The moles order that repellant with the castor oil when they are having to live on the land of that Smart A** that feeds them Juicy Fruit. ;D

They also claim that human hair works as does cayenne pepper. I have had no luck with either one. Maybe the moles in your area have not found the blueprints yet :D :D and might have better luck.
