man i would hate to run my large tractor the rpms that splitter in the first video is turning. nice videos thanks for posting.

The splitting part isn't that bad at all, but it looks like a lot of cutting to me. Those big butt logs aren't nice to work with, no matter how you do it.
 
Gonna start a new project this winter to quarter a big 12' log. That way my blockbuster can handle them. Will see how it turns out.
I may wish never started this. ;D
Got a pump, a tank , a valve and a double acting telescoping hydraulic cylinder of a garbage truck with 156" of stroke.
Looking for I beams now.
