The splitting part isn't that bad at all, but it looks like a lot of cutting to me. Those big butt logs aren't nice to work with, no matter how you do it.
Gonna start a new project this winter to quarter a big 12' log. That way my blockbuster can handle them. Will see how it turns out.
I may wish never started this. ;D
Got a pump, a tank , a valve and a double acting telescoping hydraulic cylinder of a garbage truck with 156" of stroke.
Looking for I beams now.
