Season is nearing the end and I am having troubles keeping the fire lit.  I use the paper clip but there just is not a lot of demand through the day with the family out and temp into the fifties.  Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make my older E2300 pulse air in every 5 to 10 minute to keep the fire going?

I know the later model do this from the factory but not my older one.

I'm assuming since you are using a paper clip that you have an older wood only model 2300 (no gas burner installed)?

My dealer has mentioned that Central has a pulse timer kit that can be installed on this model.  I don't know the cost.

My 2300 is a dual fuel, so I am able to adjust the pulse settings on the Firestar controller.

Worth a phone call to your dealer.

Stumper,
I installed the add on pulse timer kit you're talking about last fall.
Think it cost somewhere around $150.00. Well worth it, haven't lost a fire since.

My dealer quoted me $75.00.  I guess I'll take the plunge.
