Cutting Edge

Hey all, I am wanting to build a small firewood processor with a belt drive saw.  I know there are ones out there >I'll leave them nameless.  Just want a small setup for my own use, and belt drive is the most economical way to do so.

I think I have all the pulley/gearing figured out - 13 hp input ending up with 5000 rpm at shaft.  My hang-up is the sprocket size, mounting to shaft, etc.
Hate buy parts only to find out that my math was wrong...  could be costly/unavoidable

Probably .404 on 24" bar.  I was told 3/8 would not be safe to use, can't be having that!

Just would like some input if someone operates one - or maybe some specifics on theirs.  Good/Bad, no matter.

Thanks
