Easy to start saw

Sounds like a wise choice.

He will be much better off with a smaller saw that he can handle properly, rather than a bigger one he struggles to use, and the little 250 will be fine for that smaller firewood work.

Thanks for all your input.  I am picking Grampy up a ms250 with easy start.  I realize that the saw is not professional grade and a little small but grampie will be 90 next week and will only use the saw for 10 - 12 cords a year.   As near as I can tell it will handle 6-10" clean wood relatively well.

Like I said before that easy start impressed me.

  Just make sure your dealer tunes the saw right from the get go. The one I got in was crazy lean.
