looking for the screw/ machine bolt dimensions on a 372.

Dumb question but I know a few of you cans can answer this one pretty quick.
Im looking to know the exact sizes for 3 replacement screws on a 372- husky,
Recoil screw- the 4 on the side.
Top cover- the 4 for the cover.
Hand break- the single little one.
Went to the dealer and they didnt have any spare parts, and my bolt guy can order them but I didnt know exactly. Would anyone know offhand ? Thanks.

I believe they are 4mm. not sure on length. I usually just get them at the hardware store.

Have had a look at my Husqvarna 365, they are both m5, the three for the top cover are 19 mm long, and the four for the starter 25 mm.

It isn't a 372, but the screws are the same.

Husqvarna's numbers are 5032034-19 and 5032034-25.

You don't need a part number for a screw .A screw is a screw,metric whatever .You can buy them by the box full if you know the size .Husqvarna is likely just a grade 8 metric socket head .Stihl mainly use torx head .Those can be bought by generic sizes also .

Now I should certainly think if we in the US of A can buy metric screws by the car load that people in Denmark should be able to buy them by the train car load .We fought it for a long time but major industry changed our minds for us .Now we have lots of tools but most time fumble trying to find the correct size --mumble grumble --- :D

The bolts are not grade 8.8 but grade 12.9. Much stronger and harder.

But the problem right here is, that some time in the past Husqvarne possibly changed the starter screws from metric to self threading screws.
The number for the top cover screws is unchanged, but they have a new number for the starter screws. With the serial number I can see if BM's saw needs the old or the new starter screws.

Sablantic, Grade 8 and 12.9 are equivalent in two different grading systems, with 12.9 being slightly stronger.

Thanks Lee. I googled "grade 8" and got only grade 8.8 as answer on the first page. Google know my location and "know" what I want! :-(

From what I've found SAE sized bolts use SAE standards of grade 2-5- 8 while metric use the 8.8-12.9 etc .Probably it's just related to varibles such as foot pounds versus dynes per centimeter or some such stuff .Rocket science for bolts ,pshaw .Righty tighty ,lefty loosey .Tight is tight too tight is broken .
