I had a call from a consumer looking for old Homey parts, found a couple of dealers in his area that might have books and knowledgeable staff. He was well spoken and seemed reasonably sharp, further talk revealed he is 14 and tinkers with old saws as a hobby!!! Now I'm really liking this kid. ;D His mom won't let him have saws but people keep giving them to him so he hides them in the shed when she is home. :D
Says he has a Pioneer 3270, a Mac 10-10S (running), and several Homeys including an XL-AO. The Mac is missing the rewind so he starts it with a drill. The young feller has a bright future. 8)

Hope you found him something new and interesting to work on?

Reminds me of myself when I was 15 in 1973 :D
Only difference we had no internet back then, even when I worked for Stihl in '89.
But we actually carried a conversion with the people in the know back with a hand written letter , reading something on a publication made of paper or a few minutes on the ring a dingy.
Making a living with a saw since age 16.
