looking for skidder chains
« on: September 15, 2010, 09:43:53 AM »
I recently purchased deere 440d with real good 18.4x26 forestry specials without chains. Looking for decent pair of ring or ice chains maybe both in Maine. Not ready to drop $2000 for new ones until I start cutting. Thanks Justin

Hello, I bought a set of 18.4x26 ring chains for my 440d for 899.00,these are brand new...the big 5/8 chains with all the shackles. I got mine at Tirechain.com
I had ordered chains from them before for my 548E, they are very good quality.
as far as tractor chains you might make one skid but I dought it

I love those folks from Tirechains.com, AND they are right up over the mountain from us (25 miles or so)
