It is a big floor model the navy bought in 1953! Works like a charm! I will post model of it when I haul it home.
Any of the machining equipment made during the war or just after will be around forever. The shipyard we go to alot really got a boost building liberty ships and that same equipment is still in the shop. We follow the auctions close and any of the bigger stuff isn't bringing scrap weight its a shame.
Still think this truck garage is made up, we never saw pics!

When you're ad it, may as well take some pictures of the garage and the set up, because we never got to see them. :) Unless I missed it somewhere.
I bought a big twin drill press with two motors , two different speed and adjustable table and vise for $ 200 about ten years ago. Too bad, they don't make stuff like that anymore.

I do have envy and i love seeing peoples setups so one day when i build my final spot i can cobble them all together and do it right!
