Would this work for drilling peg holes?

From what I understand, you can drill up to 6 inch lumber. Could you bore 6 inches on each side of the mortise with this stand, for a maximum of 12''x12'' lumber?
I'd say too rinky dink for augering peg holes. You need a drill that is bigger than what that stand will accomodate, like a Milwaukee Hole Hawg.
You can also use other large drills with an auxiliary handle. You can also use and old fashioned bit and brace.
