Title: Electrolysis
Post by: kanoak on April 24, 2018, 11:37:04 PM
Rust is one of the constant issues I deal with. I found this technique a couple of years ago and am now using it in a 55gal plastic barrel (fits a coiled bandsaw blade). Removes paint and coatings as well as rust, but no base metal. The carbon deposited on the surface resists immediate re-rusting. I learned from this site (good write up here with pictures): http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/electrolyticderusting.htm
