Last night just before dark, I was turning
a 20-22 inch log on my LT15 and the log
rocked backwards against the clamps
on my LT15. These are the new style
clamps that are purchased earlier this season.
Now the dog won't stay up at all as it appears
that something got stripped out. I didn't
have a flashlight to get a good look at the
parts so I just stopped for the evening
and went in and had supper.  Has anyone
else had this problem? If so, what did
you do to fix it.  I'm kind of thinking that
the little spring loaded latch piece got
stripped out.  When I get time later on today,
I'll give Woodmizer a call but I am listening
in on a conference call right now
and can't use the phone.

I talked to Rodney at Woodmizer... We are going
to try two new springs,  and two new locking
levers that the spring attaches to and I ordered
one spare dog.  levers are $1.25 and dog is $12.00
I forgot to ask what the springs cost. 'I'm guessing
$1 or so apiece.

Email me. If you bought those clamps earlier this year you should have not had to pay for the parts. I need a little more info from you to check it out.  Thanks

Bro. Noble

Wow.  Such service.   Sparks did some
behind the scenes checking and he put a
credit back onto my credit card for the parts
to repair the clamps.  THANKS SPARKS  8)
Your attention to customer service is greatly
appreciated.
Now if Noble would only trade me saw mills
I would be in the big time.  I'll even  accept his son
in trade.  ;D

Yep, you can't beat WM for CS. When I bought my LT-15 a couple of years ago, I went down and picked it up, when I got home I found out I was missing a part so I called them and they sent me a new one via over-night mail. Well stupid me, I ended up finding the part in the back seat of my truck a few days later, so I called them to let um know that I found it and would mail it back to them. But they told me to keep it just in case I lost it again. LOL......Good job Sparks!

Woodchucker,
I would love to see your setup someday.
I have looked at your web site and you have
quite the well organized setup.
I get to the U.P. (near Cedarville) almost every summer
since my in-laws have a vacation home up there.

whitepe, my door is always open for any of the forum members, so come on by anytime. Keep in mind I'm a rookie, so you won't learn much.  ;D

Don't worry about anything Noble says, he's probably just wiggled out of his straitjacket again.  :D

Bro. Noble

Kevin,

Hope you aren't waiting for an invitation to my birthday party >:(------------ ;) ;D

Kevin,
They had to let Noble out so he could milk the cows.  :D

Noble is so nasty that they had to make him hire a stranger to take his family to the pig roast.  :D

Bro. Noble

That DanG Casper ran off with them :D :D

He told me that Kevin surprised him at being so well mannered,  but he figgered it was just an act ;D

I think this all true because no where on the Pig signing wall does it say Noble, although there is a Casper.

Jeff,
When I looked at the wall on Aug 9th, I didn't
see Noble's name anywhere either.  I didn't think
about looking for Casper as I thought you had
squashed him like a bug.   ;)
Now you say he is still alive and well.
Hmmm??

No way to squash a Casper. That would be like hugging a cloud. Just not squashable OR huggable. :)

Mr Whipple,  Please don't squeeze the
Casper or the Noble either.   :D
How much does it take to get Casper or Noble or
whatever his name is to engage?  ???

I got my LT15 clamp parts from Woodmizer last night but
I got home after dark. I will probably get them
put on tonight or this weekend.
Thanks to everyone at Woodmizer  8)

I too had a problem with the new style clamp.  I could not make the clamp hold on the rail.  I talked to the reps from woodmizer, and tried a couple of different things, but nothing worked.  I called back to woodmizer and they were going to send out a new clamp piece for on the rail.  I finally got this piece and compared it to the old one and found out that I had bent the part of the clamp that holds onto the rail.  I put the new on and it works great.  The only problem that I had is the amount of time it took to get this problem worked out.
