Had to find something to do with myself and free time this winter, although I dont get much of it.  Im sure there are better things I could have done with my time, but this seemed like a better idea.  It will be a nice addition to my basement for the upcoming spring and summer here.  Finally got around to getting some pics on here, so I thought Id share.

Forgot to add, I have yet to epoxy the top, reason for it not looking finished.  That will be done in a day or so.

Looks good but I don't think that one bottle of beer is gonna go very far.  :D

Your bar is real nice. I agree with Lee though, one beer is certainly not gonna be enough! ;D

Lol, I agree myself, thats actually just going to be part of a display on the shelf there, have bunch of other assorted emptys to go with it.  And you cant see the big bottle of Captain hiding in the bars shelf.  As soon as the top is done and dry it will be all stocked up.

Looks good! All you need now are a couple stools a couple cold ones.

Norm

Very nice job, looking forward to seeing the top finished. :)

JohnG28

Ill be sure to get more pics of it as soon as its all finished up, but I think a couple cold ones will be in order before then, going to have to stay occupied while it dries.  Thanks for the replies all.

A fine job there john. Can't think of anything better to do than make something from wood in them short winter days. ;D Now, I'm sure you folks know a lot more about what to stock in one of those beauts than I.  ;D :D

Heres how it all turned out.  The top is all poured and set, got the room all put together, and the TV set up.  Now I just have to get some stools to be in business.  Hope you all like.

Did you use 2 part epoxy? What brand?

JohnG28

Yes I used two part epoxy, the brand was Crystal Coat.  I bought it at Lowes in the paint section. It came out pretty good, although there were a couple spots where it left some ripples on the surface.  If Id had another person working with me to keep mixing I think it would have come out better.  But overall it does look prettt good, Im pretty happy.  The top is stained Red Oak, and still looks good, the few ripples arent that noticable.
