So my buddy down the road sends me this photo of a skidder he just brought home. He says it's made by "Go Track" and is a model 1100. I thought it looked like a Bombardier or FMC. He says no, Go Track is the company. (Maybe it's Go-Trak or something like that?) Anyway, for the life of me, I cannot find any information on this machine or it's maker. Does anybody have any experience with them? I don't see a blade on this one or a skidding plate on the back. I may take a run down to look at it tonight or over the weekend. It looks pretty capable. Man, it amazes me the stuff this guy buys and then finds work for. 2 weeks ago he bought a crane, now hew is looking for a hauler than can move it home for him but the overhead clearance with a lowboy is still too high for a non-escorted move. ;D :D

They are a heavy duty off road tracked vehicle. I think the brand has been bought by someone else.
This place knows lots and has parts.

I'm not really knowledgeable about them, but I've seen them used for firefighting in the swamps of NC. Some will just have a tank,  some pull fire plows.  I've heard them called flex tracks or go tracks.

@sprucebunny thanks for the lead, that set me on the right track. The name is "Go Tract" (not TRACK) and I could find a little info with a better search. Possibly the company was bought by Prinoth. I still can't find any specs on that model but but appears it is rated for an 11,000 pound load. I asked my buddy what's wrong with his and he said "Nothing, runs great!" so I guess he is good for now. I'll have to go take a peek, and maybe a test ride. I also want to see what he has on the back of it. :D
@curdog , these seem to be configured for everything from snow grooming to well drilling and firefighting.

That was my first thought when I saw it.  I rode in the back of one a few days on a swamp fire near Fayetteville.  Detroit engine.  Was the loudest, hottest ride of my life.  And amphibious with the plugs in.  I cant tell if it's the same thing as OP pictured.

I've worked on some of those, they were used on powerlines. The ones I was at had Perkins 4.236 engines and New Process 540 transmissions.

I still have yet to see it, been too busy. Not sure what engine it has yet. He says it 'runs good'.
