Title: Sawmill rail
Post by: dan10 on November 28, 2018, 02:15:05 PM
I have a o1c frick. The beveled rail is worn out.inch and three eights round bar fits good without hitting bottom of v wheel. I've read on these forum about using round and hex stock but nothing about steel grade.would 1018 be good enough thank you

I think if the wheels are cast iron, common steel is ok. Hope you get answers from those who really know.

Dan, if your not a full time production sawyer it will last along time. Just to calm your mind take a file to your current rail and see how hard that is. Frank C.
