That's a neat rig at the end.   What falling technique is being used on that tree at the beginning?   Why are they loading logs on that rig on the landing?

Very interesting to watch the many log sorts and decisions that affect the final destination of the different  quality logs in the loads bound for different markets. Everyone there has to be somewhat tuned in to making the right decision from protecting the residual stand to bucking the right lengths to sorting for the right market.
Looks like Grandma gets to see her woods go off to market, after likely a good number of years.
