A neighbor a few lots away from my home put in a new driveway and wanted to get rid of the wood for free.
Also ended up with a bunch of fir firewood.
By the time I got all the cedar home I had 6 heaping trailer loads.

I can only dream of ERC being that big, that long, that straight, that free of ingrown, that price, that nice.

Thats some nice wood, especially for free and looks like they even loaded them for you.

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust

Good looking stuff. Looks like it's free of powder worm as well.  ;) What kind of mill you got Dan?

Dan - I can ony dream of such beautiful WR Cedar. I do not know about Powell River, but here in the East Kootenays, those cedar logs are like gold. I would be interested in what they look like once you saw them up.
