The Michigan DNR encourages all young hunters age 12-16 to participate in the special youth firearm deer season scheduled statewide September 22-23. Hunters age 12 and 13 may use archery equipment. No bait may be used.
The youth hunter must be accompanied by a person 18 years of age or older. A properly licensed youth is allowed to take one deer.
Good post Ron. Even if you don;t have a son or daughter for this check around and get out the news. A fellow posted in a website and got some good hits. I'm going to be taking two this year. Take a kid hunting so you won't have to hunt for the kid........marty :D ;D ;D
