My second birthday. Got new PF Fliers and my older sister got Buster Browns. I wonder how many here have even heard of them.

Got some nice 3d texture on Baltic Birch.

Starting to think about Christmas. Just have to figure out how to paint them. Playing with the kids paint pens. 3 layers now but thinking about a fourth

Well added another layer to give a little more depth 12mm and now thinking about thin acrylic faces with little snow flakes if there is time. First style ready , 8 more slightly different to come. Then make a bunch.

21 the labels sound nice. I often will engrave on the box at low power. for coasters that are all the same, i print a copy of the coaster image on the box.

another plaque. Or radiologist is going to do tele-rad so she can be home more. One of her sons had leukemia, and survived it, but now has liver failure. May need a transplant.

Made some plaques for the kids on my running team (finished them a little late).

FYI, most of these kids are under 10 years old.

It was with a laser engraver a buddy and I borrowed from his buddy....pretty sure I plan to buy an engraver of my own now, they seem very easy to use, and very versatile

other end of my engraving work. Had a couple nurses from the OR get in an accident in a snow storm. One is in the picture and the other one Jake passed away. I made a remembrance plaque in the past, so they approached me to make one for Jake. I declined money so to show their appreciation, these OR folks and this food showed up on my shift.

I got commissioned for free to help customize a gas cover for my buddy Jim's Harley. Jim is the one I have brewed beer with and distilled some whiskey for a few of the forum events. He brought the fuel cap cover that was chrome. We coated it with cermark to put a Norse Viking style design. the can was near empty, so I had to shake and tilt it to get coverage. It took a while to dry and was thick. It is important to get a uniform thickness and be dry. I engraved it but it all washed off. too thick or not enough heat or was not quite dry at that thickness. Plan B. paint it black and engrave through the paint to the chrome. that worked but altered the chrome, so it looks more of a black chrome. the area of the image is iridescent and has green and purple tones depending on the light.

I ordered some clear coat to help preserve it. I saved the set up, so it can also be reproduced.
