I just loaded my kiln last night with some oak and ash. I was stacking the lumber in the kiln and noticed several little bugs very small light brown. I wondered if they cold be powder post beetles. I think my solar kiln will kill them as it kills wasps, flies, or anything else that seems to find its way inside. Anyone else have these little stinkers and how do you deal with them while you air dry the wood?
I owe I owe so its off to work I go....

For me SW... I find that sawing the lumber without leaving any bark on the edges does the best for me, here in Oregon. ;D  Whenever I have left much bark the "homesteaders arrive and start housekeeping.   >:(

SW -  Type the words, powderpost beetle, in the seach box at google.com.  Tons of info.
