Jeff,

After reading brdmkr on going cellular using a air card, I was wondering if I would gain much speed while logged on to FF. My phone Hookup gives me a transfer rate of 40 to 50KB/S. I have to wait up to about 3 to 4 minutes to down load a new topic.

I get an entry telling me while I am sitting here that the computer is waiting on a down load from FF.
When a 100 people are logged on to FF, would I gain any speed?

oeple is on

Well, its certainly possible, but it depends on how good your reception is there. In some areas, cellular connections can give you broadband performance.

With my cellphone in the U.P., I can hardly have a conversation near and around the cabin and my property, but yet when hooked to my computer for internet, I bet the forum pages load in less then 3 seconds.  The Forestry Forum is actually a pretty fast website. According to Alexa, 62% of all sites on the internet are SLOWER then the forestry forum.
