Post by: yarnammurt on January 29, 2014, 06:27:30 PM
Where do I buy blades for my Peterson mill?  Is there a place in the states to buy one?

I bought a genuine Peterson blade last year from Peterson which shipped from New York.   Peterson keeps a stock of blades and many other parts at their distributor Hud-son in Barneveld NY for shipping in the US.   You make the order and payment to Peterson directly then it ships from NY.  Contact Joyce Ranapiri at Peterson:  JRanapiri@petersonsawmills.com    You can get to the US stock price list through your Peterson login or also directly from Joyce.   I've dealt with BH Payne and also Sharp Tool Co. in Hudson, MA,  concerning retipping my blades (Saw Doctor).

Hello Yarnammurt and other Peterson blade users. The blade that was shipped from Hud-son Forestry to Ct. was $400. Peterson Price. The $525. was not from Hud-son, shipped or quoted, Just for the record. Every thing in my
opinion is too expensive with out inflating prices.  Dan sr

He's right of course I can confirm ($400+ship), it was me.   Perhaps just a minor detail, or maybe not, but if you get it from BHP it won't be a Peterson blade.

Yea, I know it wont be a Peterson blade. They cut them. I talked to Bobbby Richardson and he knew just what I was needing. He said they have gotten so many calls about the Peterson blade they started making them. Very good blades you put them side by side you would not know what one was the Peterson blade. And the $525 was from Peterson that Joyce sent me $525+ shipping. But even $400 or $155 for from what I can tell is just as good of a product with a warranty I will take the $155 every time.

Good Morning, I agree 100% with all that is said from everyone. I wish that I would have saved more along the way.  For an old saying that is true " A penny saved is a penny earned." Have a good Day!  Dan sr

It was a 25in insert blade.
I have found them very helpful there.
