I've had about 30 downed Virginia Pine (Pinaceae Pinus Virginiana) offered to me.   They came down in the hurricane last year. Most are still attached to the root ball.  The dbh is between 10" and 20".  Some of them go 25 feet to the first limb.

They are in an easy to access location where cutting and  loading them will  not be an issue.

 ??? Question is:
What are they good for?   Can they be used for board and batten on a shed or kiln?   How about 2x framing lumber?

Is it worth my time to get them and mill them?

Dave

Retired and not doing much anymore and still not getting caught

Get them if you have a use for the lumber. Yelloe pine,a little knottier than loblolly, but otherwise almost indistinguishable. Good framing or siding
