Was going to send pics but the welding wasnt up to my standards so I will have to pass on that one. They say not all good looking welds are good and not all good welds are good looking. This one is good but not purty. I ground on it first and had good yellow sparks so I just welded it with 3/32 lohy and it done real good.  Pounded it with a chipping hammer to relieve stress and let it cool each time till I could lay my hand on it. It didnt make your usual cast iron cooling off snapping and popping sound so I figured it would work. Now she rools back and forth with ease. Thanks for all the help guys.

Was wondering where this message went. Put it in the wrong forum. Ha. Never done that before. Now I have been shamed.

Keep em guessing  ;D
You welded a big casting and it survived? That is worth posting, pretty much everywhere  :)

Since we're not an engineering forum there'd be no real shame in showing the photos here ^^/
