Sounds good to me! Same carb just tuned? Mine runs fine and will leave it alone but file this in the memory bank for later... These are OEM parts?

Mods are asleep but someone will move this to Chainsaw sub section so don't be alarmed if you can't find the post at first. Thanks for sharing

While you had the clutch off, did you check the oil pump worm drive gear? If this is stiff on the crank it could also turn the clutch drum until they fail completely.

I am very happy with my Riehl edger and use it for both green and KD prep ahead of my 4 head moulder.  YH's machine is an absolute beast, but mine gets the job done every time and fast enough that you can keep two men buried running it.

Woodmaster Tools makes planers that you can put saw blades in to rip lumber.

That answers my edging removal question.

I figure that a few of the important things other than firewood need a little time under cover too

Probably Full of iron. Get a good metal detector, not a wand type. one that will go 12" + into the log. Or buy a bunch of blades. ffcheesy If it was me I would pass on it. I get a lot of people who want to give me logs. Free 1 or 2 at a time. I just say thanks but no thanks. smiley_thumbsdown I get my logs from the forest from loggers by the truckload, Have one coming tomorrow. About 5000 bf.

Tried to purchase a Baker edger today like Robert Milton had made.  Unfortunately, they are 4 to 6 months out.  Does anyone have experience with a manufacturer besides Baker that builds a machine to accurately edge dried lumber?  I'm hoping to be able to run my flooring boards and TG ceiling boards for my new home.  Using Doug Fir for my floor.  I need a machine in the next month or two...maybe someone has another brand that works well or has one laying around?
Thanks

Great way to deal with all the trimmings after the edger is finished its work.
Not sure if it's your original design, but it looks like it works really well.
Well done!
