Hit 90° on tuesday with some nasty storms popping up. 2.5" of rain over 2 days time. Now back in the 50s and frost again over the weekend they say. Rollercoaster for sure.

85+F here again today, got the AC installed to, sure a lot nicer. :)

Got the Ranger 570 delivered today. Now for some cool weather to bring in some firewood. Hopefully Saturday. ;)

Try to make this simple, are the pheasants being still brought over from Europe?  :)
Another hot day. I don't think as humid. Spent the day at work. Garden is going in. Going to put greenhouse poly over a cover up and plant peppers inside. Cucumbers are almost fodder for the cucumbers beetle. A little Captain Jack's dust will cure that problem.

No, the pheasant are well established here. I've seen them in the wild here for over 30 years. But they were brought here in late 1800's from Asia, not Europe (looked it up). There are also a few pheasant farms where they hunt on. My uncle used to raise them to, but that was further south in Sussex.

Looks like we are going to get some rain today, all overcast. Hopefully it will cool off.

I have potatoes and corn and onions all through the ground now, I had floating fabric on the rows. I took it off the corn yesterday and left it on the potatoes to keep off the bugs. Going to plant carrots, beats and chard today and also beans and squash, will put the fabric on the squash and beans. Them cuke beetles eat squash to, so the fabric will help keep them off. I have a few cuke sets started as well as the tomatoes, but will wait until next weekend. Where I plant the cukes in the smaller framed garden, they never ever bother them at all. That is strange, in the bigger garden they just go nuts on them. :D

70 this morning and it was pretty foggy earlier, but the thunderstorms are firing up just south of us, we should have the first storm of the day in a hour or so. The next few days should be decent weather with some sun and highs in the low 70s and lows in the 50s again.

Frosty 33° this morning. Hopefully this is the last of the season.

I don't remember ever planting the garden in a sweat shirt.  ???  Wind is very busy, so that is really the problem. Wind chill I bet it's down in the high 40's.  ;D  Some low places may get a frost. When I was growing up it was no big deal to get a frost this late.

There was frost around this morning. I seen some patches of really white frost. The woods was wet from frost melting by 8:00 am. Never got above 50F and no sign of a biting insect. Tonight is a chance of frost to, but that should be it for the week. I covered up them grapes as they are almost in bloom, and a lot of them. I want to make some concord juice this fall, so I don't want the frost to fix that. :D

This weather sure is weird. Last week it was hot and a few days ago I was forced to put shorts on. now it's been rainy and overcast for a few days and the temps are getting down there at night. This morning the temp dropped 10° between 4:30 and 5:30, then came back up 5° between 5:30 and 6:30. The wind is just breezy this last day or so, but was a lot more active and steady for a few days before that. I have noticed the temp in the shop is dropping too. I may have to kick on the heat for a little while this morning just to bring it back up. Going to be overcast all day here with an expected high neat 70 and increasing chance of rain in the evening. Supposed to warm up as the week goes on, but who they heck can figure this weather out? At least the mud is all gone now. ;D

Yeah, we had another frost here, all white down around the grapes. I checked them tonight after work and they got killed by the frost to.  62F here tonight. Hopefully some new shoots comes up off the roots, doubt I will see any fruit though this year. :(

Yesterday morning it was in the low 40's, today in the low 50's. Warming up a little, it just barely hit 70 yesterday, but with the dampness I had to kick the shop heat on for a while last night to dry it out a bit. (The boys had opened the shop door to bleed their truck brakes and the humidity crept in.)
Today it might hit 75 with rain in the afternoon, just like 51cub's area.

Was supposed to be 102° yesterday but we hit 98°, so it was cool out ;)  Record for today is 107° but only 104° is predicted.  I'm going up the hill to knock off about 15° and finish up some de-wintering at my cabin.  Dropping to the 80's tomorrow and upper 70's for the weekend.  A repeat of last week.  Crazy weather we are having.

It looked like it could rain this morning, but now it doesn't seem likely. So I went to the woodlot and completed my main trail that loops back around to the road. I'd say a half dozen leaning popple will finish up the firewood cutting. These are 10-14" size. I'll have a better idea this weekend, when I get it all gathered up with the SxS. Nice and cool today, 60F at noon. Seen the first deer fly of the summer. ::)

Another warm day here, in the 80's. We had some rain, a very light rain that started around 5pm and was even lighter at 9pm.

74F here by afternoon, turned cloudy, not a drop of rain to be had. Stiff wind out of the west. Going into the 80's today.

It hit 90 here yesterday. Knocked me out! Today is overcast, supposed to be in the low 80's with a chance of rain. VERY damp right now. Perfect hatching weather for the little critters.
