The Dolmar 5105 has "easy start" but the one I looked at did not work like my 6100 where you pull slow once and on the second pull the spring starts it.   Does anyone know if it has spring assist?  I didn't notice easy start doing anything

I have a rebranded 5105, a Maruyama, but identical and it has some kind of wind-up system. It generally takes to the third pull to fire up cold. Just pull thru slowly a couple of times and usually the third pull vroom. It took a little to get used to this procedure, as I was used to drop starting larger displacement saws. It's a great little saw and has become my go-to, as my 044 has gained compression in direct relation to my pullability :D I found out the procedure from the manual: whoduh thunk ::)
