Hello Folks,

I am loving milling with my lt 40.

My first few large logs where walnuts.  Gorgeous lumber.   I tried handling them on the mill and ended up cutting them in half with a chainsaw.  Much easier and less stress.  One almost rolled off the back however I took another posters advice and had my skidloader there with forks out just in case...  They were 36 to 38 in dbh.  Very little sapwood almost all heart and gorgeous.

Not sure of the market by you but 36" wide live edge black walnut 10/4 8' long is something like $1k/slab. Book ended should reach $2200. Black walnut is pretty niche around here and not many are buying it but the ones that do want big thick slabs.
