I use 15W40!

Seems to work well, I also shut down when the weather starts to turn cold and start up again in the Spring!

Once A new engine is broken in on dino oil theirs no reason not to go synthetic, on this sized engine cost is a little factor. Aircooled engines run hot and the extra protection, not to mention cold starts, makes it worthwile. A little 2cyc. synthetic mix added to the gas will help the valves and the engine top end. Good engine management will extend the life of your engine. Frank C.
