Some rain in the night and the sun should be coming out with clouds today,84 for a high.

I won't make the bean day at Patten museum today. I'm too tuckered out after fighting that knarly maple log for firewood. That was no small stick. I still have to run a lot of it through the wood splitter for the shop stove. That won't be for a few weeks. I suspect low testosterone, even though I'm on the salve now for 3 weeks. Never had a test yet to check levels since I've been on it. Just one of them things to 'adjust' to.  :sunny:

Haven't seen any 80's here since Saturday, been 72-75°. A little smokey last 2 days, out of Quebec fires. Wind has been westerly.

And I can hear thunder, again!! This was at 5 this morning.
Had thunder showers since 7:30 last night. Has not been steady, but seem like every few hours we can hear thunder and see the lighting.
It has to be loud to wake me up.

What a night!!!
Lots are talking about it. We have never seen it last like that. Seem like it was all night. Not steady, but every few hours was hard showers and lighting and thunder.
Then this morning around 8:30 it started to get dark and I do mean dark. Never seen it get that dark during the day. Was odd. We did get a shower, but that was it. I kinda expected some hail, because it was so dark, but did not hear about any in the area.

Still Winter here, but been pretty mild. Weather incoming for the Weekend and into next week though. From the mail run today, you can see the effect the Mt has on the local weather. I see 4 different cloud formations in the picture, A high overcast from an incoming depression, A wave cloud over the Mt. Some low level cloud pushing around the edge of the Mt from the coast, and some random cloud wandering around the downwind side of the Mt.

If you can see the Mt, it's going to rain. If you can't see it, it's already raining  ffcheesy

I suspect it's like Vancouver weather all winter. You could go into the woods and see leaves still on huckleberries. This was 30 years ago. There is a ski resort out their in Whistler, you might ski this winter or not, mostly not. Built a ski run in Prince Rupert, was abandoned probably 40 years ago because they never got snow, or none that lasted a week. That was a dumb idea, someone with $$ burning a hole in their pockets.  ffcheesy

Been high 70's here the last couple days with the smoke/smog. Not high humidity though. Going to drop into the 60's Tuesday through Thursday. Fall is coming. The A/C unit will be brought in next weekend. 60° out there this morning, cloudy. I don't think Ernesto will impact us too much Monday in my area. So far, just calling for afternoon showers, which I think are from the NW because the high temps will drop about 20 degrees.

Garden is getting a little dry here, but 2 or 3 days rain coming from the Great Lakes, so that'll boost things. 64° this morning.

Cantaloupe are not quite 4 lbs yet, a couple weeks or three to go I'd say. That will be 77 days. Sept 8 or 10th is what I'm hoping for.  ffsmiley

Low 50's here last night, the heat kicked on this morning, reminding me to set the thermostats much lower. :wink_2: Supposed to hit 47° tonight. High for today was in the70's which made for good working weather. It just seems much coller than normal for this time of year. About a month early. Weird year for sure.

80 sounds ok compared to 105, but 70 is better for working.  I keep my shop 65 so I can work and not get too sweaty. :sunny:

62° here Tuesday for the high. It's 55° here this morning, the coolest morning I've seen in a long time. The A/C unit comes inside this weekend.  ffsmiley A couple days in the next few days that might touch 80°. If I need to, I can just turn on a fan in the window. I like to bring in the A/C in August before the house flies start to gather in September.

52° here this morning high is supposed to be 68 today. Gonna see if I can increase my dent in the firewood. Gradually getting warmer each day this week and back in the mid 80's by the weekend. No rain in site, but we had a soaking spread out over 3 or 4 days last week, so we are good.

Sunny and showers here all day.
Just a light rain each time.
Afternoon showers was odd.
Drive along and maybe a 1/2 mile of a shower then it would stop. Drive a mile and repeat and repeat again.
one shower was only about 500 feet long along one road and then dry for 1/2 mile and repeat 2-3 times. that was a straight road too.
Never see it so much in just a few hours.
