Which of these saws would you choose and why? 372XP or 576XP or the 576XP auto tune. Would very much appreciate your opinion.  Thanks jerry

Not a Husky man myself, but looking at the Husky site, they look almost identical so I think I'd go with the 576XP (w/o the autotune).... only $10 over the 372 on MSRP and slightly more power (4/10 hp) for the extra torque.

Slightly smaller fuel/oil tanks on the 576 AND 1 pound heavier but the tanks really aren't an issue imo, and it DOES have a bit bigger oil pump to run a slightly larger bar if needed.    ;)

Autotune all the way. Would you buy a new car without fuel injection for $500 less? My 576xpg runs as sweet in the 80* summer as the 0* winter. Just fill it with gas and cut :)

Owning a 372 with 24" bar and playing around with a 576 Auto Tune with 24" bar at the dealer, I really think that you should consider the 576 auto. The balance feels a little different on them. Apparently the front bar is a little farther forward on the 576? With a 24" bar, the 576 feels better balanced.

You wouldn't go wrong with either saw.

The 576 is supposed to be a bit easier on the gas, so the smaller tank may end up not making that much difference?

All good...but a new X-torq 372XP would be my pick..lite..smooth..and as good if not better power than the origional 371/372 with less fuel usage. I actually prefer the Jonsered (And bought a CS-2172)  because it has all the good stuff of the 372XP X-torq with a smaller plastic profile..and prettier color!

I agree. I also dont like the feel of the 576. Buulkier and heavier than the 372. If i am going to go heavier, i like my 2188 jred.

The specs up on Husqvarna's web site look like they are for the old 372XP, is this correct?
