Hello, my name is cjfrank and I'm just learning how to use this site. Please bear with me as I'm new at this. I am located in Milaca, MN. and own and operate a logging and lumber operation. I pretty much take material right from the stump to a prefinished product. I like the forum because I see that other people have the same equipment that I have. I call my stuff rusty but trusty. Thank you for your patience and expertice at the techniolgy.
welcome cjfrank,
good to have another ''user til she's dead'' member on board.

What species do you mainly saw? Saw much aspen?
Welcome, cjfrank. You will be right at home here. I'm fairly rusty myself, and I'm about used up. :)

Welcome cjfrank, I do believe you'll find the forum very useful, I also believe you may have just started a running bet on who here has reincarnated the most equipment. I'm pretty well new here too and I think I'm in the running ;D.

I do find those projects that requirer a little baling wire in order to get up and running but sometimes I don't no when to stop
Welcome to the Forestry Forum.
Who could live without baling wire? Welcome! :)
Welcome cjfrank. A saying we have where I work is "chrome don't get you home". It just costs more. We use plenty of old equipment, including old helicopters, in a lot of instances, you just can't buy new equipment that is built as well as some of the older stuff. Nothing wrong with a little iron oxide! Got to have a reason to buy some Rust Reaper.
!! " WELCOME CJ "!! lots of good info here, hope to see and hear some of your experience,s working the woods of cold minisoda... live just west of the big pond myself.... enjoy friend!!
Another northern MN guy saying welcome- you'll like it here and it's a good place to be on these frigid days ;)
