I took the class and picked up my sawmill today from Woodmizer South. Awesome opportunity and I'm very happy the experience and purchase. Special thanks to Tim and to Justin .

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

I still have the homemade mill. The plans for it are a little unclear at the moment with all the stuff I have on my plate . It has served my well and was a great learning experience.
