Black Cherry Maybe?

Is this a young black cherry?

  Defiantly cherry, but I'm leaning towards wild cherry....but I'm not expert by far.  I have the same tree in my yard, its 18 years old and was told that is what it is.

Yes.  Look on the underside of the leaf on the mid-rib and you should see some hairs on it.  Crush the leaves/new growth and the aroma should confirm.

I thought so at first when I saw the blooms. I have a small one in the yard with the same blooms but it bloomed 4-6 weeks ago. That's what confused me. The bark also until I remembered the young one at the house has similar bark.
