Steampunk art.  Started seeing it at conventions in chicago about 5 years ago.  Artists buying barrels of watch parts for scrap prices and soldering together copper and gears.  Think jules verne meets c3po as inspiration one artist told me. I started running into the artists while looking for my old steam toy engines in the last 5 years.
