cement slab
6" x 6" post sits on top of 2" x 6" treated bottom plate
6" x 6" had at least one 6" angle from post to bottom plate w/ 2 bolts through post and angle and to the slab
2" x 6" treated is bolted via crete anchors to slab and drilled in anchors at each angle
2" x 12" treated girt that runs down looked like 5" on the side of the slab. Screwed w/ cement screws to slab. Pole barn spiked to post and air nailed to 2" x 6" treated bottom plate
Saw this a few years back and just remembered it again now. The company doing this claiming stronger then post in ground. Can't remember what type they called or if there was even a name.
Thoughts?
Thanks

Sure, nothing wrong with it. Basically when you don't use the ground to brace the post then you have to pick up the rack bracing another way. If there are walls then there it is. Really no different than a stick framed wall on a slab.

what about the claim of it being stronger you figure?
