Any word from our Australian friends regarding their well being or lack thereof?

Folks at Lucas (Warren Lucas) replied,  they are about 200 miles NE of Melbourne.
The big fires are south and east of them "(the safe sides)" according to the email.
A few cooler days and some rain have helped a bit.  Bad fire season goes until early march.
They indicated they have been extremely lucky thus far.
