I have a Nyle 200 unit on order so I have not actually seen the unit yet - just the pictures and the drawings in their manual.   I wonder if I would gain anything if I located the compressor unit just outside the kiln chamber and ducted the intake and fan output to the chamber.  A lot has been written in this forum about keeping the temperature in the chamber below 120 degrees to prevent damage to the compressor and I wonder if locating it outside the chamber would help or would the hotter air going through the coils still cause damage?  Locating the unit outside would also allow the chamber to be a little smaller and reduce the insulation cost some.  For 4 or 5 months of the year the ambient temperature here are 90 - 100+ degrees so I could have big problems keeping the temperature in a chamber below 120 degrees except in the winter when the average temperatures are in the 50's and 60's.  For the last week the afternoon temperatures have been close to 100 in the shade and a building in the sun would easily reach 120+ degrees with no additional heat source.

Sometimes people do locate the L200 outside the chamber.  It often comes up when someone has a chamber already built before they decide to buy an L200. If you haven't built your chamber, do make it as shown. There are several reasons for this, air flow, insulation, installation costs, etc. You can make it work the other way but there are compromises you don't need to make if you have not yet built the chamber.

Don we just bought a L200 like new. We are going to put it in a 24' truck body after we insulate it. Do you have any suggestions on how we should do this? Our thoughts were to stud it out on the inside and insulate the sides and top with fiberglass and the underside of the floor use foam board and expanding foam to seal it.

The best way to insulate a truck body is to spray foam.  Of course, it is better to buy a refrigerated body.
\If you use fiberglass insulation, put the insulation on the outside. If you put it on the inside it will just get wet.
