This is a Timber Pro Harvester and Forwarder.The head can be changed on it. I just read about this in Feb Timberline. probably others have done this,but the first time I've seen it.

what do you think the price is? over 650k? last i knew a 7000 logmax head was 225k

No idea. Will take me a while to up grade to it from my tractor.  :D I just like the idea of one machine. I do realize some loggers are so busy that they need 2 machine,harvester and a forwarder to keep up with the jobs they have. But some don't want the over head of both or just can't have both machines.

That's quite a machine  8)  Good article in Timberline about it and the new owner.  I couldn't imagine having to make a payment on something like that  :-\

i know of a contractor that has a harvester, a forwarder and a 'dual' all from ponnse. it gives them surge capacity for whatever needs done. small lots they only have to move the dual in. when it gets too muddy to run the forwarders they can keep harvesting and then catch up on the forwarding when they dry out.
