I have just bought a Bama 27 edger It's a two blade and looks very similar to a turner. I have looked on the internet and cam find nothing at all about this company. Has anyone ever heard of this edger and will a Wisconsin v-4 run it?

A Wisconsin 4 cylinder will run most  board edgers. A 2 cylinder will also but only 1 " stuff. Most edgers you find have worn feed rolls and a worn shift collar/ mandrel.

After some much needed clean up. Or should I say completely disassembling the entire edger. Cleaning every part with a wire wheel, sanding the main shaft with 600 grit sand paper, and resetting the main key way which had rust under it. Now the movable blade slides effortlessly. All the feed rollers and brass bushings appear to be tight with minimum slop. Does anyone know anything about a Bama 27? It's all cast and very heavy. It just baffles me there is nothing on the internet. It says Bama 27 Montgomery Al in raised letters stamped in the cast iron.
